Build Your Swiss Skincare Routine

A good routine is not about owning more products — it is about the right steps, in the right order, with formulations that suit your skin. Our Lausanne specialists have built this guide around what actually works: five external steps, plus the internal support that Swiss pharmacies have recommended for decades.

Step 1 — Cleanse & Tone

Start and end every day with a cleanser matched to your skin type, not to the season's trend. Cream and oil textures suit dry or mature skin; gels and foams suit combination and oily skin. In the evening, cleanse twice if you wear sunscreen or makeup — the first pass removes the layer, the second cleans the skin. Follow with an alcohol-free toner to rebalance and help everything after it absorb better.

Step 2 — Treat

This is where results come from. Serums deliver active ingredients at high concentration — vitamin C for radiance and uneven tone, hyaluronic acid for hydration, peptides and cellular extracts for firmness, oxygen-based actives for congestion. Apply to slightly damp skin, thinnest texture first.

Step 3 — Moisturise

A moisturiser seals in your serum and protects the skin barrier. Lighter fluids and gels for oily skin; richer creams for dry skin and alpine winters. Do not skip this step because your skin is oily — a compromised barrier produces more oil, not less.

Step 4 — Eyes & Lips

The skin around the eyes and on the lips is thinner and shows fatigue and fine lines first. A dedicated formula, applied with the ring finger and no pressure, does more than extending your face cream upwards.

Step 5 — Protect

Sunscreen every morning, all year. UV exposure is the single largest cause of visible ageing, and it is stronger at Swiss altitude than most people assume. SPF 30 minimum, SPF 50 if you spend time outdoors or in the mountains.

Step 6 — Support From Within

Skin reflects what happens inside the body. Swiss pharmacies have long paired topical care with targeted supplementation — collagen and hyaluronic acid for skin structure, omega-3 for barrier function, zinc and vitamin C for repair, iron and B vitamins for tone and energy, probiotics for the gut–skin connection.

How Long Until I See Results?

Hydration improves within days. Radiance and texture take four to six weeks — roughly one skin renewal cycle. Firmness and pigmentation take three months of consistent use. Change one product at a time so you know what is working.
