The Graded System: Choose Your Strength

Labo's laboratories in Lugano do something almost no other skincare house does: they let you choose the concentration. Instead of one universal formula, each line comes in graded strengths, and you select the grade that matches how advanced your concern is. It's a pharmaceutical logic applied to cosmetics, and it's why the brand's products carry numbers rather than adjectives.

Fillerina is the best known — a topical filler-effect treatment using hyaluronic acid molecules of different sizes, graded 1 to 5 by intensity. The Fillerina 12 range covers face, eyes, lips, neck and décolleté, plus body applications, with day creams, night creams, serums, masks and the signature double-filler treatments. Crescina addresses hair: the HFSC transdermic treatments and Follicular Islands vials are dosed 500, 1300, 1700, 1900 or 2100 according to the stage of thinning, with separate formulations for men and women, supported by the HB177 and MITO shampoos. Collagenina brings the same graded thinking to collagen, with day, night and neck creams in grades 1, 2 and 3.

Choosing Your Grade

The rule is consistent across all three lines: the lower grades are for early or mild concerns, the higher grades for more advanced ones. With Fillerina, grade 1–2 suits first fine lines, grade 4–5 suits deeper, established wrinkles. With Crescina, the number reflects the dosage of the HFSC complex — the more advanced the thinning, the higher the number, and men's and women's formulas are not interchangeable. With Collagenina, grade 1 is the entry point and grade 3 the most concentrated.
